I'm guessing the footage is from the UK, but it seems like a lot of the drivers didn't wear seatbelts. They literally flew out of the car.

I think this is all footage from a weird little documentary from the 70s, Rhapsody in Blech. One specific corner of the Nurburgring, lots of rear-engine swing axle cars getting up to lift-oversteer shenanigans.

A lot of those would have had avoided the flip if they knew how to drive. When you lost all, foot on the brakes, foot on the clutch, keep front wheels straight and wait till it stop. Only the Porsche (1:30) handled it properly.
